I am so glad we are on the down side of the week. This is one very long week! I have been working on some layouts for Teriann Hanks. There is a big sale coming up at Polk-a-Dot Potato, and I have been working up some of her new templates that she will have on sale for 99 cents. The sale starts on Friday and called The Potato Bar. Head on over there tomorrow and gorge out!
Since I have been working on those layouts, which I can’t release until Friday at the earliest, here is the last of the trio that I created on Tuesday. This one is just about my oldest. She is a little firecracker, but she has the most tender heart. This page is to celebrate that tenderness – and of course, that beautiful smile!

Hi everyone!
Don’t have a lot to talk about today. I know, that is surprising, since I usually have no trouble finding things to talk about. Here is a page of both girls enjoying some homemade lemonade popcicles. These are from the old fashioned type popcicle maker – you know the ones, they have the cup trays, then the handles that are put down into the juice. Then the whole thing is put in the freezer. These even have the little holes in the stick. I don’t know why that really reminds me of the Tupperware ones that my mom used to have, but they do. These were given to us by a couple who are really good friends of my parents and are like grandparents to the girls. (click on the thumbnail for a full sized view)

Blessings for the day –
air-conditioning that works! (boy it is hot outside),
little girls who fall asleep in my arms.

Hi all – Here is a little page that I put together this afternoon before the girls got home. Little miss here, got into her Popaw’s bathroom drawer (A drawer that I have never opened in my 40 years) and got ahold of his beard trimming scissors. She took it down to the scalp in some areas. It was pretty pathetic.
Nothing much else to talk about today. I was able to get some scrapping done. Got my hair cut. That was the excitement for the day. Hope everyone had a great day!
I thought it might be a neat excercise to post my special blessings for the day -
That my girls are strong, healthy and growing
That I have a job that puts food on the table
That we finally got some much needed rain yesterday
For the beautiful sunset that I can see out my window right now.
What are some of your blessings? Post them in the comment section!
Hey there -
Did you notice that I figured out how to put the blinkies on quick link bar to the left? Pretty cool! I have also added a link to a fellow adoptive mom who has started to sell some of her templates. They are terrific, and so very reasonably priced! The link is over to the left – Freestyle Mama .
I have gotten hooked on the Travel Channel show “Anthony Bourdain – No Reservations”. I just got done watching a rerun that I had never seen. It was taped in 2006, in Beirut, when civil war broke out again. It was heartbreaking – a vibrant city, just getting back on its feet and starting to find peace and tolerance was ripped apart again. It made me realize the blessings that I have in my life, my family and my country. I hope we can all identify our blessings, give thanks, and live our lives with appreciation.
Here is a picture of my girls fromback in January. I was online with some friends and we challenged each other to create a page using a quote. Martina McBride’s song, “In My Daughter’s Eyes” is one of my favorites – and so very true for me and my girls. Hope it makes you smile! (click on the thumbnail and it will bring up a larger image)

Head over to Carlow’s Blog – His mom got some great news today! Drop her a comment to let her know how happy you are for her! Drop me a comment and let me know what you think of my new blog!
Good Sunday afternoon!
Hope you all had a great week. Mine was extremely busy. My oldest had her first day of Kindergarten this week. She loved it – I was a basket case. The school is so big and she is just so small. But from what I gather, she is making her mark on the place. The little one is enjoying having time at the babysitter’s without any competition from big sis. Everyone in the house, though, has felt the stress and has conked out early every night.
Now for the big announcement! I have been accepted as the member of yet another creative team. I will be working primarily for 1 designer – Julie O. But she is opening her own store with other designers, and not all of them have creative teams, so I will be working with some of them as well. I am really excited about this. The forum that Julie has opened up is very warm. The designers that she has gathered are top notch and include a variety of style. The new store is called Stone Accents. It will be opening right after Labor Day. But the forum is open and very active. Please head on over there and check it out! The link is to the left.
Notice that I got to fix up my header? I am pretty proud of myself for figuring out how to do it. I wish I could take credit for all of the lovely elements on it, but alas, I am not quite that creative. The photo of the lighthouse is extracted from a photo that I got off stock.xchnge.com. The blue paper is from a kit called “Liberty Everlasting” – it is a collaborative kit, meaning that many different designers contributed. The cute little button star is by Lively from her kit “Bluish Dream”. The Compass is by Shellyrae from her kit “Destination”. LJD did the beads from her collection called “Rustic Beads”. The font is called “Andy” – I shinied it up with a chrome effect that is stock in my scrapbook program.
Well, I had better get munchkins down for a nap. For a little visual treat, here is my oldest, waiting patiently for the 4th of July parade to start. The is make with the above mentioned Liberty Everlasting Collaborative kit. The template I used is The Big Picture by Teriann Hanks. Have a blessed day!
