I am sitting here, not quite ready to go to bed and contemplating the end of 2007.
I usually get a little more sentimental than usual this time of year, thinking about the things that have happened, the things I did not get done, and planning for the next year.
Significant thenigs that happened this year:
-
My youngest really learned to belly laugh
-
My oldest entered Kindergarten
-
My oldest lost her first teeth
-
My youngest moved from the toddler bed to a twin bed
-
My youngest got a 2 wheeler bike
-
I went from working the majority of time from home to working out of the office in town (not one of the better things that happened this year)
-
DH started a new career
-
We learned how very little money we could survive on
-
DH and I celebrated 17 years of marriage, 18 years of being a couple, and 5 years of being parents
-
We have had the chance to celebrate friendships with people throughout the world
Goals for 2008:
-
To get caught up on with my ”regular” scrapbooking – pictures taken as part of normal living through the last few years
-
To keep my desk clean and organized for more than 15 minutes at a time (I know I have at least a few people out there laughing at the thought of this!)
-
To get the rest of the interior of the house painted
-
Te get my craft room set up and organized
-
To get lifebooks done for both of my girls
-
To complete the travel books for each of my girls’ adoption trips
-
To meet some financial goal that DH and I have set for this year, including taking an actual vacation of some sort
-
To cherish everyday moments with my family because they go by so quickly!
I have been trying to get all my digital scrapbooking supplies organized the last few days, so I have not taken the time to scrap anything or create any new templates. Hopefully I can work on that tomorrow. In the meantime, I will leave you with a picture of one of my princesses.

I was at work today when the phone rang. I recognized the number as my home number and answered it to participate in the following conversation……
DD#1:Mommy, I have super duper extra exciting news to tell you
Me: You do? What is it?
DD#1: It is really super exciting, Mommy.
Me: It is?
DD#1: I lost my tooth today! (it has been loose and hanging by a thread for a week now)
Me: You did?!
DD#1: Yep. I have some more extra super duper news!
Me: What would that be honey?
DD#1: I lost 2 teeth!
Me: You lost both bottom teeth? 2 teeth came out today? (the other one, although loose, was no where near ready to come out – all I could imagine at that time was that somewhere along the line DD#2 whopped DD#1 in the mouth and knocked them out)
DD#1: Yeah, I held on to my animals really tight until they came out! (According to DH she held onto her animals in case it hurt and wiggled the teeth until they came out – she did this all on her own upstairs!)
So the super duper extra exciting news is that my baby has lost her first teeth. They are 2 of the 4 teeth that she had when she was placed in my arms 5 years ago. Hard to believe that she is actually old enough to be losing teeth and going to school. I will have to take lots of pictures tonight and get a page scrapped.

Hi all -
The girls spent some time at my parent’s house so that DH and I could go to the wake and funeral of his relative that passed on. I was able to get another template complete during a few downtime minutes. Hope you are able to use it! Please send me a link so that I can see all those beautiful winter/holiday layouts!

You can download it here. Please leave me a comment! Thanks!
I have been craving some creative time. Found a few minutes and threw this together. Hope you all like it! Please leave me some comments – my blog is sorely lacking in that department! Hope everyone is/has enjoyed whatever holiday that you celebrate. Please use the comments and let me know what your favorite part of this time of the year is!

Down load the template here. As usual, this is in PSD and PNG format.
OK, since it is winter, and there is inclement weather throughout the country, we watched the forecast this morning. DH took my oldest to school and the younger was was riding along. They were dicussing the possibility of a snow storm this weekend. During this discussion the youngest pipes up that the snow won’t stick. DH was sure he had heard her incorrectly and asked her to explain. She informed him that in fact the snow CAN’T stick. He was really confused as to how she had come to this conclusion. She went on to explain, very logically, that it can’t stick because there is no tape on the ground. She went even further to explain that it won’t stick together into snowballs either, because there is no tape on the ground to pick up and make the the snowball. Please explain to me how you argue with logic like that?
