Finally a new freebie as well as a coupon!

Well, I finally found some time to throw together another template.  This is my 13th freebie – and my lucky number!  I turned 13 and 30 on Friday the 13th!  I am not talented enough to offer some sort of exciting thing for my Lucky 13 – but I do have some news.  Teriann Hanks has a 50% off coupon on her blog for anything in her DSO store!  Jump over there and grab that coupon.  It is only good through the 30th – but you can get some really great templates and some really cool kits using this coupon!  She also has some adorable freebies over there as well!

Without further ado – here is my newest template

It is simple and graphic.  Kind of reminds me of the chalk drawings my girls do on hot summer days!  Need to think about some of the heat while we are currenly freezing!  Have a great day everyone!

Happy Family Day, Baby Girl

Filed under: Blessings, Kid stories — lighthousegal @ 8:41 pm

I am sitting here reading about a life changing event that occured in my life 3 years ago.  About this time I was in Beijing, watching the closing act of an acrobat show, but preoccupied with the thought that I would be meeting my youngest daughter the next day.

I remember all the emotions and fears that I had at that time.

How would she fit into the family?

Would she like us?

Would my oldest daughter take to her?

Could we really handle another child?

The insecurities went on and on.

I thought of those concerns tonight as my oldest daughter had a meltdown of monumental proportions in the car and her little sister attempted to console her, encouraged her to breathe deeply, and told her that everything would be ok.  Yeah,  she fits, she likes us, my oldest daughter at most adores her and at worst tolerates her (sounds like sisterly love to me), and even though finances and emotions and nerves get thin – we can handle both girls.  We are truly blessed!
