Lighthousegal’s Scrap Shack

About Lighthousegal

I am a middle aged mother of 2.  My girls are truly a gift from God and the light of my life.  For privacy purposes, my oldest will be referred to as JB and my youngest will be EB.  They came to our family through a 16 mo and 5.5 mo (respectively) ”paper pregnancy”, and more hours in “labor” on a plane to China than I care to count.  I have  been married to my best friend, and one of the best men in the world since 1990.

I have been paper scrapping since the mid-90’s, but once I found digital I never went back to paper.  I love the undo button, the speed I can create a layout, and the lack of mess (my house is enough of a mess without little pieces of paper all over the place)! I now dabble in designing some rudimentary templates.  I use this blog to share them, as well.

I am an only child, but come from a huge extended family.  Many of them still live in my hometown.  I, unfortunately, do not, so my blog is one way for me to share photos with them and keep in touch.  It is also sort of an on-line journal for me as my mothering skills grow with my girls, and I struggle with things like letting them go to school the first day and how to raise them as strong, Catholic Christian women.

I hope you enjoy my blog.  Here is to chattin’, scrappin’ and loving life!
